Dextrose And Sucrose Analysis In Cereals

27th May 2015

YSI’s 2007 SELECT Biochemistry Analyzer is an advanced measuring device for choline concentration in cereal.

Simple yet impressively accurate, this device is able to measure both the dextrose and the sucrose content in even the most complex of cereal matrices. With the YSI’s unique enzyme technology, measurements can be taken easily and unaffected by colour, turbidity, Ph and density.

Once a sample is grinded and weighed, it is injected in to the sample chamber where the choline instantly becomes oxidized to hydrogen peroxide and betain. Amperometrically, the device then locates the platinum electrode surface and by measuring the current flow of the electrode the hydrogen peroxide concentration can then be measured which results in an accurate account of choline concentration.
