Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells For Multiple Research Uses
The isolation of cells for research work has long been a necessary, but slightly tedious, aspect of much experimental work. Apart from taking up valuable laboratory hours when, as happens to everyone, something goes wrong, your entire schedule can be thrown out. AMS Bio(AMS Biotechnology), a leading provider of innovative products and custom services for the international life science community, currently produce seven types of immune cells (including the peripheral blood mononuclear cells) isolated using apheresis from human adult peripheral blood.
All blood is sourced from IRB-approved and FDA-licensed blood banks and batches are rigorously tested to ensure they are free from infectious agents. Flow cytometry is used to analyse and characterise the peripheral blood mononuclear cell samples for cell purity, cell viability and CD markers. The large number of mature immune cells present in these isolated mononuclear cells makes them ideal for a number of specific, as well as general, cell-based experimental uses. Three concentrations of PBMCs are available: 5.0 x 106 cells, 25.0 x 106 cells and 75.0 x 106 cells. Proprietary reagents are used to ensure the highest recovery rates following cryopreservation. The peripheral blood mononuclear cells are shipped on dry ice and for maximum viability best used within one week (stored at -80ºC).
In addition to peripheral blood mononuclear cells the ImmunoPure™ range also includes CD14+ monocytes, CD19+ B cells, CD4+ Helper T cells, CD8+ Cytotoxic T cells, CD56+ Natural Killer (NK) Cells and dendritic cells. As well as the normal primary cells AMSBIO also provide a wide range of tumour cells of different origin.
