lab mill range from Fritsch

Fritsch manufactures a range of lab mill products which include ball mills; the most effective type of mill for rapid comminution of dry or wet hard and medium-hard samples to very fine particles. Applications include mixing and homogenization and Fritch ball mills may use grinding sets made from a variety of different materials.

The Fritsch range of ball-style mills for the laboratory includes the Fritsch Vibratory Pulverisette 0 micro lab mill.

The Pulverisette 0 micro mill is designed for fine comminution of dry samples or samples consisting of solids in a suspension or homogenization of pastes or emulsions.  The Pulverisette 0 is a lab mill which is ideal for preparing samples for RoHS tests.

Samples are ground through impact and friction. The mortar vibrates electromagnetically, with the grinding material transferring vibration to the grinding ball. Comminution occurs through the impact of the grinding ball at the beginning of the process, then by friction generated by the ball’s motion as the vibrations abate. The impact of the grinding ball may be adjusted, permitting the fineness of the finished product to be precisely controlled.

Features include:

  • Dry/wet grinding
  • 3,000-3,6000 oscillations per minute; user configurable
  • Input size of up to 5mm (depending on the sample material)
  • Sample quantities of up to 10 ml
  • Enclosed vessel for lossless grinding
  • CE safety certified
  • Mortars and grinding balls available in 6 different materials (ordered separately)
  • Convertible to vibratory dry/wet sieve shaker

The Fritsch Pulverisette 23 Mini-Mill

The Pulverisette 23 lab mill is designed for fine comminution of dry samples or solids in suspension in minimal quantities, as well as for mixing and homogenizing emulsions. The Pulverisette 23 is ideal for sample preparation in applications including mass spectrography, chemical analysis, x-ray structure analysis, chromatography, genetics, forensic analysis, to name only a few. This mill is also well suited for solubilizing biological samples, comminution of chilled or frozen samples and grinding pigments and valuable materials.

Features include:

  • Dry/wet grinding
  • 900-3,0000 oscillations per minute; user configurable
  • Input size of up to 6mm (depending on the sample material)
  • Sample quantities of up to 5 ml
  • Enclosed vessel for lossless grinding
  • CE safety certified
  • Integrated glass keypad
  • Mortars and grinding balls available in 5 different materials (ordered separately)
  • Convertible to vibratory dry/wet sieve shaker
